A few family shoots

Tis the season for Fall family pictures! The leaves this year are terribly disappointing so I opted for more of an urban setting. I am super behind on posting, so they may be a little shorter than normal for a while.

The Nielsen Family

I just love it when my clients show up to their shoot wearing clothes from Anthropologie! I love the Nielsens! I have been lucky enough to photograph their family for the last few years and they always look so stylish! Check out their past shoots here and here.




I love this shot with her mom and dad! They are so cute! I want them to adopt me!

The Family Portrait Photographer

I thought this was pretty funny! Luckily, I don't have any clients like this!!

When you are shooting a LDS Temple wedding and you are doing a clapping shot like this, make sure you tell the group to QUIETLY clap and not to cheer. You wouldn't think that you could hear the clapping and cheering from inside the Temple, but you totally can! I will also instruct the families to cheer quietly when the couple exits the Temple.

Carlsbad vacation

We had such a great time! We stayed in this cute little beach house right on the ocean! I surfed for hours upon hours upon hours! I'm not sure why, but my right leg is covered with dark black bruises(maybe from surfing!)
My cute daughter Wren took all of these pictures except the last 4!!










This is the view from our window! I even got to see a group of 5 or 6 dolphins catching a wave! It was the coolest!

My new favorite macro lens is the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM Lens! I rented it for my wedding in Kauai and this will be my next purchase!

Here's another fabulous family I shot while in Carlsbad! Todd second shot a wedding with me earlier this year in San Diego and he was SO helpful!! His family is so adorable! After our shoot we roasted marshmallows on the beach(the house I was staying in had a private beach!)

Mini session

I have one opening left for my mini session on Friday the 1st at 4:45! The session is $550 plus tax for up to 5 people($25 per person after that)and includes 15-20 images on a disc with personal printing rights and 25 custom Christmas cards! This is a savings of $1650!!!!
