Favorites Friday!

Thanks for all of your questions! Stacey had a great one:

Q: You always have great prop pieces, do you have a secret store that you constantly hang out in when you're not shooting or doing laundry? And where do you keep all that fab stuff? What's your favorite piece of them all?

A: My favorite place to find props are in antique and consignment shops! One of my faves is
The General Store in Layton. They have the coolest stuff and their prices are super reasonable!! Now where to keep it all is not so easy! I swear my husband will KILL me if I come home with another chair!! I do decorate my home with a lot of it though. Before a shoot I go "shopping" in my house and grab whatever would be appropriate! My favorite prop would have to be my rusty old bike. I hardly use it though, because it is so cumbersome!

I don't know what to do today for favorites Friday, so maybe you can help me! What favorite thing would you like to know about me? Please leave me a comment and I will randomly choose one.

Party feature!!

Wren's birthday party was featured on Sara's Party Perfect blog!! Her blog is fabulous! Check it out for inspiration for your next party!

Wren's birthday party

Man, this was a LOT of work!! I LOVE how it turned out though! I guess I would call the theme vintage campy picnic. We have a bowery across the street from my house with this little woodsy area that I used. The decorations were fairly inexpensive. I just used things from my house and borrowed the paper lanterns from my niece that she used for her wedding. The hardest part was trying to plan it all while keeping it a surprise!

This watermelon punch was soooo good! I hollowed out a watermelon and put it in the freezer. Then I blended the pulp and added cherry 7 up to it.

Whimsy Cupcakes made these adorable smore, pink lemonade and choc. coconut cupcakes for me!

I know, I'm a dork! These sloppy joe stickers will only make sense to you if you have ever seen the lunch lady land skit on SNL with Chris Farly and Adam Sandler.

Wren absolutely adored her party, which made it totally worth it!
